Monument Winter


My first trip to the land of red rocks and blue sky was anything but. I arrived in Monument Valley during an ice/snow storm and the fog was so thick that there was no view from the scenic overlook. All of the other travelers left but I was determined to see something (I had driven 600 miles out of my way to go there). I drove down the icy switchbacks to the valley floor and this was my reward.
