West Fork


Between Sedona and Flagstaff, AZ in the canyon of Oak Creek is a trail called West Fork. This trail has something new around every bend in the creek and I have been back there hiking more than a dozen times, yet I have only hiked to the 2-mile point of the 7-mile trail. Why, you ask. Because this area is so exquisite that I will only take it in 'small bites'. I spend most of my hikes sitting (an oxymoron if I ever heard one!) and digesting the area around me.
